hello, and welcome to my site!
my name is charley, aka sun, aka sunhuntin. i am 26 and live in new zealand. i ride a 250 yamaha virago motorcycle for transport and have carried amazing amounts of tomy home on it. this site was established in october 2009, and it continues to grow and change. in 2011 i joined the local model railway club and have taken part in a number of both large and small shows. thomas has proved to be a big hit with young and old.
the site helps me keep track of my collection, and has come in handy while in out and about and finding an engine that wasn't on my want list.
i've been a tomy addict since i was about 5 after seeing a layout in farmers department store and asking mum for it for christmas. that set started a life long obsession with tomy trains and also real trains.
originally, my collection was housed in 4 suitcases. ive had to increase the number of suitcases and also added a couple of those plastic storage boxes for my engines. i did try and sell my collection a few years ago with no bites. im very glad it didnt sell as i would have regretted it. the photos below are the ones i used to try and sell.

over easter weekend 09, i was given the opportunity to buy an almost complete set of the tomy thomas engines, plus a stack of accessories for $400. i thought about it for 2 days before biting the bullet. i took my motorbike down and struggled to fit everything on, and i had to borrow a bag and bungy cord off the seller.
they were bought with engines, wagons and loads split or missing entirely so i spent many hours on ebay, google and amazon finding photos so i could match the sets up correctly. it was then i decided a visual guide was needed to help other collectors and parents of thomas fans.
im glad i got started before trackmaster arrived. would have made the task a lot harder
since then, ive spent more than i can count completing the tomy thomas range and the vintage [70s-early 90s] range as well, which is my favourite.
im now working on the new trackmaster line, trying to complete the original trackmaster range and also buying anything new released by fisher-price. i have also started buying pla-rail japanese engines when i find them for a suitable price.
nothing shown on this site is for sale, though i do have a wanted page. feel free to check it out and let me know if you have something im looking for. most of what i have can be bought on ebay or amazon.
i have pages with instruction sheets for various sets. due to image theft, i had to disable the right click abilities. if you need a copy of instructions, please email me as i am happy to share them that way. 99% of the photos on this site were taken by me, of items i own.
feel free to look around and send emails with any suggestions. the site is built to my ideals, but im open to ideas for changes and/or additions.
so, welcome and have fun!
